FAITH,LOVE, & THOUGHT

BY:THOMAS OSCAR KAMANA`OPONOKAIKAIKAOKALANI FARM-MASANIAI

I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "Move from here to there" and it will move--Matthew17:20
Above is a quote I often heard my grandmother say to each of her grandchildren before we were laid to bed. This quote certainly signifies a great deal because my grandmother said this quote to her entire family before she passed and was laid to rest. When asked to write about what faith meant; I ended with a few thoughts and this definition.
Faith, a simplistic sounding word, I believe can never be defined because of the many things faith is connected with. So, what is faith? Faith I believe is a word that stands the test of time and space. No dictionary, no illustrated literature, and no laws of science could possibly define and determine what faith is because it is a word that rests up there in God’s presence. Faith is faith and it is an unknowable meaningful creature or element. The word faith symbolizes an intangible ethereal entity which all man may possess. It is this clear entity that makes and creates prosperity for mankind to exercise to each other and the world. I believe that faith is created not by the God I believe in, but it is an element and sense that we humans accumulate as we come of age. By hoping, believing, and wishing, we humans begin to hope for miracles and wonders and begin to have faith. People who are a part of the innumerous religions across the world could possibly know what faith is more than others because faith is associated in all religions. I strongly hope that faith lifts and encourages all mankind to have faith, hope, and love for all matters and existences with reverence, and sincerity.
